23 Alcohol bottles found in male’ last night.

Maldives police service found 23 alcohol bottles hidden in a concrete machine last night. These bottles were kept in an empty Mars Chocolate box. Police was informed this matter by a private individual and police arrived on scene about 9.00pm. Many empty alcohol bottles and alcoholic cans were also found and taken to police custody. Maldivian police service informs that they cannot give further information on this matter, but their Drug enforcement unit of Criminal investigation department is trying to get to the bottom of this issue. Recently police has traced many alcoholic materials from different areas of male’. This has proved that alcoholic drinks are being leaked from resort premises and needed a closer inspection from government to prevent these types of illegal activities.
