Police seize large amount of narcotics in an ongoing special operation

Police seize large amount of narcotics in an ongoing special operation that commenced at around 2030 hrs of last night. Two people who are suspected to have connections to the case are apprehended so far. A total of 13.7kg narcotics were seized and proven to be positive to Opiates. The operation is jointly underway by Forensic Support Department, Special Operations Command, Capital Police and Drug Enforcement Unit of Maldives Police Service.
