Abbas Ibrahim promoted to the rank of Minister

President of the National Centre for Linguistic and Historical Research, Mr. Abbas Ibrahim, has been promoted to the rank of a Minister as of 27th February 2008, reported the President’s Office. Mr. Abbas Ibrahim was appointed as the President of the National Centre for Linguistic and Historical Research on 22 December 1996.

He also held the positions in the Cabinet as Minister of Fisheries and Agriculture, Minister of Transport and Shipping as well as the Minister of State for Presidential Affairs.
